Concept
- - To provide free accommodation for people that need to come for counselling
- - To provide free respite, ministry and/or accommodation to ministry workers, missionaries, pastors etc
- - To provide free accommodation for church groups or youth groups
- - To provide accommodation for those training for ministry purposes
We have a proven successful track record in our counselling ministry however, we cannot keep up with the demand so we need to be able to train more counsellors. Some people need to come for intensive personal counselling, and at present, we have no facilities to provide this. Our counselling is always offered for free because often, the people that need it most, are not in any position to give. And because Jesus said "Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." Many of those we have counselled; that have received healing; have then sent in a donation once they were in a position to do so. This helps us keep going and providing counselling at no cost.
- We have several people that have come through our program that want to become counsellors themselves. This is wonderful, but we have no facilities to accommodate for the duration of their training. There is an element that can be done online, but it is best in person to have them sit with us whilst we counsel and also watch over them as they begin ministering to others.
- We have set out a long term plan that includes various stages of building the project, from the very first accommodation cabins to a full worship centre.
5 Year Goals
With this route, funding would be raised for each stage over the course of the years. Once built, this would be able to run at low cost and require only minimal staff for running the facilities.
Year 1.
Acquire land
Apply for planning permission
Access road
Build workers homes
Septic tanks, water, power
Build at least one ministry cabin
Year 2.
Expand ministry capacity with more cabins
Dedicate a camping area with ablutions
Fishing pond
Year 3-5.
“The Shepherds House” Ministry centre – multi-use hall with kitchen facilities
“Sheepfold” - Camping barn
The easiest thing here would be to raise a barn structure and partition off for the various needs.
